Immunizations Chatter!

Hello folks, I was just talking on another board about immunizations and heard the "NEW THING" for our lovely doctors to do is to urge you to redo your child's Taiwan immunizations. I would not suggest this for fear of hurting the child. There are a few reasons to really "Consider why NOT to give these shots again. You will have to sign a document while at the AIT exit interview that states you will get any of these needed vaccinations for your child within 30days. I have not found an exemption to this 30 day rule.

1. These shots from Taiwan are usually of the same value, medical integrity and potency as our U.S. Shots. The AIT accepts them as true immunizations, and majority of "well studied" doctors will also accept them as such.
2. There are alarming levels of mercury in these shots, duplicating these shots would possibly open your child up for injury and that would not be necessary.
3. Some doctors will have you sign a document releasing them from all harm of these shots, even though they insisted they be done again without proper documentation of it being a necessary thing.

We recently had a nasty message that the poster left and will not be placed on this blog. For one they did not read that I was targetting RE-administering immunizations for adopted children from over seas, which therefore makes their response very one sided and not applicable. Number two they were not considering that every parent has their reasons for considering such an act, and that this site is predominantly adoption related. So if you are going to leave a message on the matter, try reading the actual post please!!! This is not a post to be flamed!
I won't even mention the one aspect they did mention that should be considered IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING NOT DOING SHOTS AT ALL, because it is still not related to RE DOING a child's vaccines when they have been done before and really could hurt a child a SECOND TIME around in the same vaccine family!!!
